The Best Of The Best: July’s Little Luxuries

How is it July already? I swear it only felt like I was on holiday about 5 minutes ago for Xmas and New Year. Even though the weather can’t seem to make up it’s mind recently, I for one am definitely not having difficulty in making up my mind on what I’m loving for the baby. Is it me or has the baby market suddenly had a steroid injection? I’m loving everything in the shops, in the sales and new things that are being added online daily!

So what better way to curate the best pieces that I’ve been stocking up on this July than a post dedicated to… July favourites. True to taste, it’s mostly gender neutral – think plenty of greys, creams and whites. From muslin swaddles to oil and clothing, here’s what I’m loving right now.

July’s Favourites

Clockwise from left: Newborn organic baby grow (Baby Mori); Pineapple muslin blanket (Mama Rules); Grey & white reversible quilt (Lulu & Nat); Grey dungarees (Next); Little Butterfly mother & baby massage oil (Mama Et Moi); Cashmere cardigan (Next)

Pineapple Print – Baby Muslin Blanket

What type of mama are you? Are you the cool one? The hot one? Pretty one perhaps or even the fun one? Whichever your personality, Mama Rules has a muslin blanket to suit. My favourite is this pineapple printed muslin blanket (£24). It comes with a handy ribbon to attach it to the cot or pram and is super soft to touch. I adore the bold pineapple print – I think it’ll look fab in contrast against the pale greys and dusty pinks.

Next Cashmere Cardigan

In real life this Next cashmere cardigan is so so tiny! When I held it for the first time I felt baby do a little kick so I’m hoping it means she loves it too. Baby cashmere is one of those truly luxe fabrics that you’ll want to take good care of and wash appropriately. What’s great is that it comes with a handy little organza bag to wash it in and store it safely too. 100% cashmere and costing £40, it’s one of those pieces that make for a gorgeous keepsake and a wonderful gift for any newborn.

Baby Mori Baby Grow

This open front sleep suit from Baby Mori is the height of luxury for any newborn. It’s made from its signature bamboo (70%) and organic cotton (30%) so you can rest assure it’s super delicate on baby’s new skin and reduces the risk of allergies from chemically sprayed cotton that we can buy in shops without realising. Available in lots of different colours but this grey suit (£29.50) is one of my favourites!

Next Grey Dungarees

Right now it’s totally possible to dress a new born baby girl in grey. I’ll be accenting this with touches of light pink and whites. I love the thicker material which is perfect for the Autumn/Winter time. The back detail is so sweet and I love the little pocket detail. The elasticated band makes it easy for nappy changes too. It looks to be sold out right now but you can find similar here.

Little Butterfly London Mother & Baby Massage Oil

This oil has been super popular, so much so that it’s currently out of stock. But keep checking in as there should be another batch coming soon to (£29). I’ve been using this in the bath to massage my belly and sometimes midway through the day if I feel my skin getting a little tight.  It’s actually what they use during the ‘Little Butterfly London’s signature treatment’, the “Dreamy Pregnancy Massage” in exclusive hotels and spas in the UK. It’s organic and smells divine.

Lulu & Nat Reversible Baby Quilt

You guys loved this on Instagram when I recently uploaded a pic. Beware, once you’re on the Lulu & Nat website it’s hard to pull yourself away from it as everything is so beautiful. I can’t wait to pop this reversible quilt (£59) into the cot for show, welcoming the arrival of the new one. Founded in 2007, the site quickly gained attention from shoppers and it’s easy to see why. They cater for grown ups, kids and babies all over the world. Their gift bundles (like this Elephant set £165) are well worth a look at.

What have you been lusting over this July? Xx
